An illustration style that feels as good to create as it looks

Turn Your Favorite Memories Into Colorful Illustrated Art

…even if you've never drawn before!

(With easy-to-follow steps, you'll create your own colorful illustrated art – at your own pace, in your own sketchbook)

Colorful illustrated memories

Imagine if you could:

Have you ever seen something like this and thought:
"I would love to be able to draw like that."

Illustration example Illustration example

So you sit down and try it.

You look up a tutorial. You sketch something out. But it doesn't look like you imagined. The colors feel flat. The marks feel stiff. The whole thing looks more like a homework assignment than a piece of art you're proud of.

You turn to YouTube. There's plenty of instruction out there — shading techniques, color theory, proportion guides. You watch, you follow along. But none of it is quite teaching the feeling you're chasing.

That loose warmth.
That rich layered color.
That sense that the drawing is alive and a little imperfect on purpose.

You try for a few weeks. You make a few attempts. Some okay, some frustrating. Eventually, the sketchbook ends up on the shelf.

"Maybe I just don't have the talent for this."

Even people who think they're not artistic can do this — here's why

It's not that you lack the ability.

It's not that you need more practice before you're "ready."

It's that you've been trying to draw correctly — when this style is built on doing the exact opposite.

This isn't realistic illustration. It's not about getting the proportions perfect or blending colors like a pro. It's about simplification, atmosphere, and expressive layering. It's about finding the sweet spot between loose and structured. That's a learnable skill. And it looks very different from everything else that's out there.

Once you understand that process, something shifts. You're not guessing. You're not hoping. You know exactly what to do next from the very first line.

You were never missing talent. You were missing structure.

And that's when illustrating starts to feel calm and satisfying... and the result becomes something you're proud to show.

Let me introduce myself:

Jessica

Hi, I'm Jessica!

I've always loved drawing, but for a long time I felt stuck between two extremes: artwork that felt too realistic and rigid, or styles so loose and abstract I couldn't connect with them.

Then one day I came across artwork that changed how I thought about drawing. It was colorful, expressive, and full of life, while still keeping enough structure to tell a story.

That sent me down years of experimenting with colored pencils, crayons, texture, and color, looking for that sweet spot between order and freedom. Once it clicked, drawing became fun again.

I started illustrating the moments and places that mattered to me as a way to capture the details that make life feel special. Today, I use that same approach in the illustrations throughout this page, and in this workshop I'll show you how to turn your own meaningful moments into colorful artwork you'll be proud to keep.

For the first time ever — Introducing…

Capture Life in Color Workshop

Capture Life in Color Workshop

A relaxed, step-by-step workshop that teaches you how to turn your favorite places, objects, and moments into colorful illustrated art, using just a few simple materials and an easy-to-follow process, even if you've never drawn before.

You'll learn a repeatable process, one you can return to again and again to turn your own memories into colorful, story-filled art.

Here's everything you'll get:

Module 1
Module 01

Illustrating Without Chasing Perfection

You don't need natural talent or a studio full of supplies to create something beautiful. Just a few simple shapes, thoughtful color, and the willingness to let go of perfection. You'll start here, with confidence instead of comparison.

  • Why the most memorable illustrations often leave things out instead of adding more detail
  • The surprising reason imperfect drawings often feel more personal and charming
  • How to create illustrations using colored pencils, crayons, or a combination of both
  • The simple materials you actually need (and what you can safely ignore)
  • The mindset shift that makes illustration feel achievable for complete beginners

You'll start seeing illustration less as a skill to master, and more as a way to capture what matters.

Module 2
Module 02

Finding the Shapes Hiding in Every Photo

Most beginners get stuck before they even start drawing, staring at a photo with too much going on. Once you learn to spot the shapes that matter, you'll stop guessing what to draw and start seeing illustrations everywhere.

  • What makes a photo instantly more interesting to illustrate
  • How to find the shapes and details that tell the story of a scene
  • The easiest way to simplify busy photos without losing their character
  • What to leave out so your illustrations feel cleaner and more expressive
  • A simple process for turning any reference photo into a sketch-ready outline, one you'll reuse for every illustration you create

You'll start seeing illustrations waiting to happen in your favorite photos.

Module 3
Module 03

Color, Texture & Atmosphere: The Magic Underneath

This is where your sketch starts to feel like art. Using the same project from Module 2, you'll layer color and texture until the page feels warm and alive. The kind of richness that makes people stop and look twice.

  • How to choose colors that work together without overthinking it
  • The secret to creating rich, layered color without needing dozens of supplies
  • Simple texture techniques that make illustrations feel warm and alive
  • How a few color choices can completely change the mood of a piece
  • Why some illustrations feel full of life the moment you see them

Your illustrations will start to feel warm, layered, and unmistakably yours.

Module 4
Module 04

Bringing Your First Illustration to Life

A favorite meal. A well-loved book. A café table. Ordinary objects hold some of our most meaningful memories. Picking up where we left off, you'll add the final details and complete your first illustrated memory.

  • How to turn everyday objects into illustrations that feel personal and meaningful
  • The easiest way to create a sense of story without drawing complicated scenes
  • How small choices in color and placement guide the viewer's eye through the piece
  • The small details that make an illustration feel collected rather than copied
  • Knowing exactly when an illustration is finished, and the final touches that pull it all together

Your first illustrated memory is finished, and it's better than you imagined.

Module 5
Module 05

A Place Worth Remembering

A favorite café. A beach vacation. A market you stumbled across while traveling. You'll bring a place like this to life, combining atmosphere, color, and simple figures into a scene that feels like more than just a drawing.

  • How to capture the feeling of a place without getting lost in the details
  • How to simplify people into easy, approachable shapes anyone can draw
  • Why adding even a few simple figures can completely transform a scene
  • The secret to creating atmosphere, warmth, and story in a single illustration
  • A complete process for turning favorite places into colorful illustrated art

Your second illustrated memory is complete, and you're ready to create scenes of your own.

Your Special Invitation:

When I first started sharing my illustration process, I imagined it as a small creative workshop. The kind of class where everyone sits down with a few colored pencils or crayons, follows along step-by-step, and slowly watches a meaningful moment transform into a finished piece of artwork.

But teaching it live would mean limited spots, scheduling challenges, and people missing out simply because they couldn't attend at the right time.

So instead, I turned the entire experience into a self-paced workshop you can return to whenever inspiration strikes.

You'll get the same demonstrations, the same step-by-step guidance, and the same creative approach, without the cost or limitations of a live workshop.

To put it into perspective:

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior drawing experience?

Not at all. This course was built for people who love the style but have never felt confident calling themselves artists. My approach is about simplification and process, not natural talent. If you can hold a crayon, you can do this.

How much time does each lesson take?

Most lessons are designed to work in short sessions — you don't need long uninterrupted blocks. You can work through a module in an evening, or spread it across a few days. The guided illustration projects take longer, but you move at your own pace.

I have crayons but not colored pencils (or the other way around). Is that okay?

Absolutely. Crayons work especially well for covering larger areas with color. Colored pencils give you more control for finer details. Both work beautifully for this style, and I'll show you how to use whichever you have. What matters more than which medium you choose is having enough color options to work with, so a set with good variety will take you much further than a small pack of either. Module 1 covers exactly what to look for.

What if my lines or shapes come out shaky or imperfect?

That's completely normal, and it's part of what makes this style work. The whole approach is built around loose, expressive marks rather than precise lines, so a few wobbles and imperfect edges don't ruin an illustration. Often, they're what make it feel handmade and charming.

Is this course more about the finished artwork, or the process itself?

Both, but most students are surprised by how much they enjoy the process itself. Once you have a clear process to follow, illustrating becomes something calm and satisfying to sit down and do, and the finished pieces are simply a bonus on top of that.

Can I use this style for journaling, cards, or gifts?

Definitely. Once you've learned the process, it works for all kinds of projects, journal pages, postcards, small framed pieces, or handmade gifts. The Everyday Moments Library bonus is full of starting points for exactly this.

How long do I have access?

LIFETIME ACCESS. You pay once and the course is yours forever. Come back to any lesson anytime you want — no expiry date, no recurring fees.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

You have 30 full days to try the course. If it's not for you, email support@letscreate.now and you'll receive a full refund within 24 hours. No questions, no stalling.

Is this a one-time payment?

Yes. $47 once. That's it. No subscription, no hidden fees, no surprise charges.

What happens after I join?

You'll get an email within a few minutes with your login details and instant access to all 5 modules and every bonus, so you can start whenever you're ready.
